Why did we participate and what do we want to to achieve through this competition?

Singapore has come a long way to reach where she is today. In particular, the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have contributed significantly and are considered as an important cornerstone of the Singapore’s economy structure. As part of the SG50 celebration and in line with the government’s efforts to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, we aim to acknowledge and promote local SMEs, specifically our partnering company Bok Seng Group, beyond the enterprise scene in Singapore through this project. We would like to raise the awareness of such home-grown companies and help them gain more recognition on the national and global level. On a more personal note, we hope to embark on a meaningful project in the final lap of our education journey.

Company assigned to: Bok Seng Group

Celebrating a history of close to 40 years, Bok Seng Logistics has developed from engaging in heavy equipment and transportation towards providing an extensive range of marine and terrestrial logistics services.

Being a trustworthy logistic brand, Bok Seng offers unparalleled comprehensive services of warehousing, handling of large scale complex logistics projects as well as intermodal transportation. With its sophisticated equipment, contemporary facilities and dependable engineering team, this allows Bok Seng  to provide personalized services for its customers.

Bok Seng prides itself on its four values of Safety, Teamwork, Effective communication and Pride (STEP). By placing safety before profits, teamwork before self, believing in collaborative communication and finding delight in contributing to society, Bok Seng is able to achieve excellence in what they do.

Research Methodology

We will research on the seamless logistics solutions that Bok Seng Logistics provides through its expertise in warehousing, transportation, heavy lifting and marine logistics. Besides, we will work closely with the company’s management and obtain detailed understanding about the company’s history. In-depth interviews will also be conducted with senior and working staff to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s operations. Corporate materials such as videos and brochures will be tapped on as part of our research. Filming and photography would be taken at the office premise to form the basis of our print and multimedia submission.
